What will you be doing as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer?
As part of a skilled team of platform engineers and infrastructure architects, you will be tasked with maintaining and improving a cloud-driven environment that offers fully automated infrastructure services to internal teams and external stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as IT service delivery, data analytics, and integration teams, to ensure the development and maintenance of a secure and cohesive IT ecosystem.
Key Duties:
- Platform Engineering: Design, implement, and manage resilient infrastructure solutions primarily in AWS and Nutanix environments, ensuring they meet high standards for availability, scalability, and security.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, automation scripts, and configuration management workflows to streamline the deployment and ongoing management of the infrastructure.
- Infrastructure Optimization: Modernize legacy systems to optimize cloud performance, improve resource efficiency, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside other agile, cross-functional teams, including IT service delivery, data analytics, and integration groups, to foster a unified and secure IT infrastructure.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain thorough documentation on system configurations, operational standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance across the infrastructure.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Automation Specialist, or DevOps Engineer, with substantial experience in scripting and/or programming for automating IT infrastructure tasks (such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, and Rundeck).
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS EC2, RDS, ECS, ELB, Lambda, and Nutanix).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
- Experience with Git and managing CI/CD pipeline workflows.
- A solid background in Linux system administration is an advantage.
- A proactive attitude towards adopting new technologies and developing innovative solutions.
- Good level of spoken English (minimum C1) and Spanish (plus).
Hybrid work regime - 3 times per week in the Coimbra, Lisbon or Castelo Branco offices.
