The Role

As a Sr.DevOps & Backend Engineer, you will:

• Own our Azure infrastructure & deployments for high uptime and reliability.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems in Python (FastAPI).

• Engineer robust GenAI workflows (hybrid RAG, agents, chains of thought).

• Maintain database performance (Postgres) and asynchronous task management (Redis/ARQ).

• Collaborate closely with product and domain experts to ship high-impact features fast.

• Uphold strong security (SOC2 compliance, key management, logging best practices).

You will be hands-on everyone here builds, ships, and solves problems directly.

What You Bring

Must-Have Skills

• Strong DevOps experience in Azure (AWS/GCP also considered).

• Proficiency in Python backend development.

• Experience with job queues & task orchestration (Celery, RQ, etc.).

• Database management & backend architecture skills.

• Ability to work from our San Francisco office 3 days/week.

Nice-to-Haves

• LLM API & prompt engineering experience.

• Hybrid RAG/hallucination guardrails / agentic workflows.

• Startup experience.

• LegalTech or legal domain exposure.

• Personal use of AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, Midjourney, etc.).
