Director of Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our client's technical efforts in building secure and scalable blockchain/crypto solutions. This is a hands-on role where you will architect robust systems and drive engineering quality.

Our client is a leading digital assets data company providing institutional-grade analytics for crypto trading and portfolio management. 

Required Skills:

• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, databases, and cryptography
• Proficient in Golang and SQL/NoSQL databases
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering and systems architecture
• Hands-on with cloud distributed databases and streaming technologies
• Proven abilities in designing and building robust, large-scale database architectures
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Comfortable working with remote global teams and traveling occasionally

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and define best practices for software development
• Design and oversee development of large-scale databases, microservices, and distributed systems
• Optimize infrastructure for scalability and high performance
• Clearly communicate technical requirements to the engineering team
• Plan and execute technical projects, ensuring timely delivery
• Collaborate with product managers to align on requirements and roadmaps
• Document technical specifications and define resource needs
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team
