About the Position

We're looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. As an ideal candidate, you'll have deep expertise in the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js) as well as a background developing Python applications in the Flask framework and a passion for building robust, scalable web applications. AWS certification is also a requirement.

What You'll Do

• Become as knowledgeable as possible on the Benekiva platform to support the products growth and development long term (product is built on Angular with a Node backend)
• Understand the inner workings of of the configuration of the Benekiva platform, how clients are universally using the platform, and build on the technical infrastructure to support company growth
• Design and scale systems from scratch - this role will empower you to share and act on big ideas
• Build custom integrations as required to support client needs
• Triage product support issues as needed to support the speed and sustainability of the platform

About You

Core Technical Requirements:

• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern ES6+ features
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and Flask
• Strong experience with the MEAN stack: MongoDB with expert-level knowledge of MongoDB Aggregation Pipeline, MongoDB Query Language (MQL) and query optimization, Index strategies, Express.js, Angular, Node.js
• Advanced HTML5 and CSS3 skills, including responsive design principles
• Extensive experience with RESTful API design, development, and consumption
• Strong debugging skills using Chrome DevTools and similar browser development tools
• Version control proficiency (Git)
• A certification from AWS

• Outstanding written communication skills for daily Slack interactions and documentation
• Clear and effective verbal communication
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Valuable Skills
