About This Role:
We are hiring a Video Editor to support a fast-growing D2C medical apparel brand based in Australia. This role focuses on producing high-performing video ads across Facebook and Instagram, blending direct response, VSL, and organic content styles. You will play a key role in scaling ad performance by consistently delivering engaging, conversion-driven creatives aligned with brand voice and audience insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce 8–12 high-quality video ads per week across paid and organic channels
Edit direct response, VSL, and organic-style content optimized for performance
Repurpose and refresh existing creatives based on feedback and performance data
Add captions, text overlays, transitions, and motion graphics for engagement and retention
Ensure consistent brand tone, pacing, and visual quality across all outputs
Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently
Stay updated on video trends, platform best practices, and ad formats
Leverage AI tools to generate b-roll, visuals, and motion elements
Software/Platforms/Tools:
CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
Canva or similar tools for overlays and graphics
AI tools such as ChatGPT, Runway, Pika, OpusClip, or similar platforms
Video optimization tools for Meta and YouTube Ads
Slack and Zoom for communication
Project management tools such as ClickUp, Asana, or Trello
Spreadsheet tools such as Google Sheets or Excel
Qualifications:
At least 3 to 5 years of freelancing or remote work experience
2–4 years of professional or freelance video editing experience focused on social ads
Strong portfolio showcasing short-form content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok, Paid Social)
Proven experience creating direct response, VSL, and organic-style video ads
Strong eye for pacing, storytelling, and attention-grabbing edits
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables
Excellent written and verbal English communication (C1 or C2 level)
Nice to have:
Ability to develop ad concepts or scripts from a creative brief
Experience using AI tools or LLMs for ideation and content generation
Understanding of eCommerce storytelling and social-first content strategies
Background in creative strategy or performance marketing
Shift Schedule:
Monday to Friday, flexible working hours with required overlap during Australian or US business hours for check-ins
