About This Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Freight Coordinator to join the Logistics team of one of our valued clients. The right candidate will thrive in a remote setting and be responsible for managing the end-to-end freight scheduling and delivery process. This includes coordinating pickups and deliveries, handling exception management, overseeing return shipments, and ensuring data accuracy. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong communication skills, and have a deep understanding of logistics and freight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, 3PL warehouses, and retail partners to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
Schedule and confirm inventory pick-ups from 3PL warehouses based on shipping plans.
Coordinate delivery appointments with retail partners and carriers to ensure timely arrivals.
Manage shipping documentation, including BOLs, labels, packing slips, and invoices.
Track shipments in transit and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
Monitor delivery status and resolve issues like delays, missed pick-ups, and damage claims.
Handle reverse logistics and manage return shipments from stores to 3PL warehouses.
Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of returned inventory.
Maintain shipment logs, track KPIs, and prepare regular performance reports.
Act as the main point of contact for freight scheduling and updates with internal and external teams.

Qualifications:
At least 3-5 years of freelancing experience
2+ years of experience in freight coordination, logistics, or supply chain support, ideally with retail and/or 3PL exposure.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple shipments and exceptions simultaneously.
Experience working with ERP (e.g., Netsuite), TMS (Transportation Management Systems), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), or shipment tracking tools.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets for shipment tracking and reporting.
Ability to work independently in a remote/offshore environment and manage time zones effectively.
Preferred:
Prior experience working with U.S.-based logistics operations.
Familiarity with retail distribution and reverse logistics processes.
Shift Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm US PST
