About This Role:
This role supports the manufacturing side of the business, specifically within nutraceutical production. While the broader company operates across multiple business models, this position is focused on supplier coordination, procurement, and inventory planning within a manufacturing environment. Having a clear understanding of manufacturing workflows, vendor sourcing, and operational execution is important to ensure alignment with the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage purchase orders end-to-end with suppliers
Forecast inventory needs and proactively trigger re-orders
Source and evaluate new vendors for ingredients, packaging, and materials
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and minimum order quantities (MOQs)
Coordinate with suppliers on production timelines and order fulfillment
Review and validate packaging artwork and production specifications
Handle urgent sourcing and supply issues with speed and accuracy
Maintain accurate and organized records for suppliers, pricing, and timelines
Technical Requirements:
Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets for tracking inventory and planning orders
Experience using inventory or ERP systems (such as Finale, MRPeasy, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
Background in supply chain or procurement within nutraceuticals, supplements, or packaging
Familiar with everyday communication tools (Slack, email, shared drives)
Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) is a plus
Qualifications:
At least 1-3 years of experience in freelancing or an independent contractor set-up
2+ years of experience with nutraceuticals and/or packaging materials required
3–5+ years of experience in procurement or manufacturing operations
Strong vendor communication and negotiation skills
Comfortable managing purchase orders, suppliers, and day-to-day procurement tasks
Comfortable reviewing packaging details, artwork, or production documents
Comfortable with phone calls and fast turnaround requests
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
Self-starter who can work independently without heavy oversight or micromanagement
Excellent written and verbal English communication (C1 or C2 level)
Working Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm US EST
