About This Role:

We are hiring a Senior Accountant / Controller to take full ownership of the companys accounting operations and bring structure, accuracy, and accountability to financial reporting. You will lead monthly closes, maintain clean reconciliations, manage payables and receivables, and ensure reliable financial visibility for leadership. This role requires a highly organized, proactive professional who is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and who is willing to directly engage vendors and customers to resolve payment matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the full monthly close process with accuracy and timeliness

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow

  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal financial controls

  • Oversee and maintain NetSuite data integrity and system accuracy

  • Monitor cash flow and provide clear financial reporting to leadership

  • Coordinate payroll, tax filings, and audit support with external partners

  • Proactively communicate with vendors to resolve payment discrepancies and with customers to collect outstanding balances

  • Identify process gaps and implement workflow improvements, including automation where appropriate

Software/Platforms/Tools:

  • NetSuite

  • Celigo

  • Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel

  • Expense management and AP workflow tools

  • Slack, Google Meet, Zoom

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of freelancing experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication (C1 or C2 level).

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with full ownership of close and reporting

  • Has an accounting degree, CPA, or equivalent

  • Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite

  • Advanced Google Sheets and Excel skills

  • Experience with Celigo, including understanding data flows and system integrations

  • Experience with AI workflow automation and reporting tools

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven

  • Proactive communicator who is comfortable reaching out to vendors and customers regarding payments

  • Able to work independently with strong accountability in a fast-paced environment

Shift Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, with some overlap with US business hours preferred
