Job Description:
- Technician Requirements: shall ensure that all technicians meet and/or exceed the following requirements
- Required Skill sets and experience of dispatched technicians
- At least 2-3 years experience providing IT Infrastructure field support which includes troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system issues and problems. Fixing these issues without impacting/violating the hardware warranty or client Security compliance requirements.
- Hands on experience in installing, troubleshooting, fixing desktops, printers, laptops, and other computer peripherals hardware problems as well as desktop applications.
- Experience on WindowsOS laptops/desktops, Apple iMac & Linux devices to basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts. Ability to perform smart hand activity under remote instruction-based guidance.
- Ability to lift/move computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Skilled in desk side support and PC break-fix including basic administration of Windows OS and MAC OS.
- Some knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
- Able to provide smart hands support for peripheral and networking hardware, including but not limited monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, fax machines, scanners, routers, wireless routers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabinets, multiport data termination panels etc..
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with systems and networks using good deductive reasoning skills and troubleshooting in order to assist in resolving issues related to end-user network cabling.
- Preferably with an Associate Degree in electronics and/ or CompTIA A+ Certification.
- Knowledge and experience with case/ticketing tools (i.e ServiceNow, Remedy, etc...)
