The role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and nurturing new business opportunities from inception through to onboarding. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will diversify and expand the customer base, forge strategic partnerships, and contribute to the continued growth of the organisation.
Based in Melbournes South East, you will collaborate with all internal teams and leverage insights and data to create solutions that engage C-Suite, GM and Operations leaders across a variety of industries. You will thrive in environments that reward overachievement and seek to set new milestones as you deliver exceptional business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target new clients and industries for expansion
- Achieve sales targets and revenue objectives
- Develop and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified leads
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise tailored freight & logistics solutions
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and opportunities

- Dedicated experience in solution-based selling across mid-large scale entities
- Outcomes focused with a commitment to achievement and solving customer challenges
- Track record of driving revenue profitable revenue growth
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently
- Proven ability to build relationship with a diverse mix of stakeholders
- Understanding of/experience within the transport and logistics industry highly regarded
