Medical Virtual Assistant (VA) - Remote
Our client is a rapidly growing healthcare technology company revolutionizing the operational backbone of U.S. private clinics. They specialize in diagnostics, personalized care plans, and data-driven insights for concierge medicine clinics.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Medical Virtual Assistant (VA) to work directly with U.S. healthcare providers and our operations team. This role requires expertise in home healthcare coding, OASIS review, and experience with PHI and HIPAA compliance. The ideal candidate is smart, tech-savvy, and familiar with AI-driven solutions for healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry, retrieval, and management within electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Review and analyze OASIS assessments and ensure compliance with CMS regulations.
- Accurately code home healthcare services using proper medical coding guidelines.
- Process and manage diagnostic test orders for major U.S. labs (Quest, Labcorp, specialty clinics).
- Ensure strict HIPAA compliance and maintain patient privacy when handling PHI.
- Collaborate with U.S.-based clinical teams via Slack, email, and virtual meetings.
- Execute structured healthcare workflows with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize AI-driven tools for clinical documentation and workflow optimization.
- Identify inefficiencies in workflows and suggest process improvements.
Qualifications:
1. Experience & Certification:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant for U.S. healthcare businesses (private clinics or home healthcare)
- Must be an expert in home healthcare coding (ICD10 CODING) and OASIS System.
- Formal medical training preferred (CMA, RMA, LVN, RN, or equivalent certification).
- Extensive experience working with EHR systems and managing healthcare data.
- Strong background in diagnostics, lab test ordering, and results management.
2. Healthcare Compliance & Data Management:
- Full understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws.
- Experience managing private health information (PHI) securely and compliantly.
- Strong familiarity with U.S. healthcare data workflows and patient coordination.
3. Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced skills in EHR systems, data entry, and clinical documentation.
- Proficiency in Slack, Google Suite, and clinic communication platforms.
- Familiarity with AI-driven documentation tools and workflow automation (a plus).
4. Communication & Collaboration:
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with U.S. clinical teams and administrative staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills and emotional intelligence (EQ).
5. Availability & Adaptability:
- Willing to work U.S. hours to align with clinic schedules.
- Able to handle sensitive medical information with discretion and professionalism.
- Long-term commitment preferred for continuity and efficiency.
