HireNow Staffing is partnering with an AI-native legal technology platform redefining how complex legal work is performed. Built on use-case-specific legal ontologies, knowledge graphs, and multi-step agentic frameworks, the platform delivers real-time legal analysis and actionable outputs at scale.
As the product continues to evolve, the company is seeking a seasoned Frontend Product Engineer to own and shape the user experience of a first-of-its-kind legal AI product. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who blends strong frontend fundamentals with product thinking, design sensibility, and startup execution speed.
Candidates must meet the core technical and product expectations outlined below to be considered for interview.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, design, and product. You will be responsible for translating advanced AI capabilities into intuitive, polished interfaces that support real legal workflows and decision-making. Your work will be highly visible, customer-facing, and central to how users experience the platform.
This is not a feature-ticket role. You will own frontend architecture decisions, influence UX direction, and help establish standards that scale with the product and team.
What You'll Do
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform the following responsibilities to be considered:
-
Build and maintain a modern SvelteKit application, owning frontend architecture and component design
-
Write clean, type-safe TypeScript, including reactive UI components and API integrations
-
Collaborate closely with product, design, research, and go-to-market teams to translate user needs into thoughtful, high-quality experiences
-
Integrate commercial and custom AI models into intuitive, user-friendly workflows
-
Own features end-to-end—from early design collaboration through deployment and iteration
-
Establish frontend patterns, conventions, and best practices that scale with the product roadmap
-
Continuously refine visual interactions, usability, and performance to deliver a polished user experience
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
Candidates must meet all of the following to be considered:
-
2+ years of experience building modern web applications at a startup
-
Hands-on experience with React, Vue, or Svelte (Svelte experience strongly preferred)
-
Strong design sense with the ability to polish UI details and visual interactions
-
Proven ability to own features independently and make thoughtful UX tradeoffs
-
Experience working closely with designers and product partners
-
Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with minimal process
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Emphasized)
Candidates meeting these criteria will receive priority consideration.
-
Experience building or integrating AI/ML-powered features

Familiarity with Tailwind CSS and utility-first styling approaches
-
Experience with performance optimization, bundle analysis, and frontend observability

Exposure to Kubernetes-based infrastructure
-
Experience with alternative JavaScript runtimes such as Bun
-
Demonstrated excellence through one or more of the following:
-
Experience at highly regarded startups or product-driven teams
