HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Director of Nursing (RN) to join one of our valued client partners in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This leadership opportunity is designed for an experienced cardiovascular critical care nurse leader who possesses a strong bedside foundation and the ability to lead a highly specialized team while maintaining operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have extensive CVICU experience, a deep understanding of advanced cardiac therapies, and the willingness to provide bedside support when necessary to maintain exceptional patient care standards.

The Director of Nursing (RN) will oversee clinical operations, nursing leadership, staffing effectiveness, quality initiatives, and patient outcomes within a highly specialized cardiovascular critical care environment.
Clinical Leadership & Operations
- Provide leadership and direction for cardiovascular critical care nursing operations.
- Ensure quality patient outcomes and regulatory compliance.
- Support staffing coverage and provide bedside assistance when required.
- Maintain standards of excellence across nursing practices.
- Promote a collaborative and patient-centered culture.
- Monitor clinical performance and implement process improvements.
Staff Development & Leadership
- Mentor and develop nursing leaders and clinical staff.
- Foster accountability and teamwork.
- Support recruitment, retention, and staff engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
- Promote continuing education and professional development.
Quality & Patient Care
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Support evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and state regulations.
- Drive patient experience and clinical excellence initiatives.

Compensation
$130,000 – $150,000 Base Salary

HireNow Checklist
HireNow Staffing is recruiting experienced cardiovascular nursing leaders who possess strong bedside capabilities and advanced cardiac critical care expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program required.
- Current RN license or license recognized by the applicable State Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification obtained within fourteen (14) days of hire.
- Minimum three years of CVICU experience.
- Minimum two to three years of leadership or management experience.
- Extensive cardiovascular critical care background.
- Ability and willingness to provide bedside support when staffing coverage requires.
- Stable and consistent employment history.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong ECMO experience.
- LVAD experience.
- Open Heart recovery experience.
- Impella management experience.
- Balloon Pump experience.
- Experience leading high-acuity cardiac teams.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.

- Pure Medical ICU background without cardiac exposure.
- Lack of advanced cardiac clinical skills.
- No management or leadership experience.
- Inability or unwillingness to provide bedside support.
- Limited exposure to ECMO, Impella, Balloon Pumps, or Open-Heart recovery.
- Candidates requiring visa sponsorship.
