HireNow Staffing is working with a nationally respected law firm to identify a Conflicts Research Analyst to join its expanding team in Columbus, OH. This position plays a vital role in the firm's new business intake and ethical compliance process—helping attorneys confidently evaluate risk, client relationships, and potential conflicts before matters are opened.

Key Responsibilities
The Conflicts Research Analyst will serve as a core partner to attorneys and conflicts leadership by supporting conflict clearance and resolution efforts across the firm.
Responsibilities include:

Conducting detailed conflict searches by developing effective search strategies using the firms' conflicts database (Intapp or similar systems)

Reviewing and interpreting search results, escalating potential concerns, and providing clear summaries to attorneys and Conflicts Counsel

Performing corporate research to uncover entity relationships, ownership structures, and affiliations that impact conflict analysis
-
Supporting the preparation of engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screening memorandums for internal review

Collaborating with Conflicts Counsel, Conflicts Attorneys, General Counsel, and intake stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution
-
Assisting with database maintenance efforts, including client/matter record cleanup and reconciliation
-
Delivering responsive support to attorneys and legal staff while maintaining discretion and professionalism

Providing limited after-hours support when urgent conflicts requests arise
Required Qualifications (Core Submission Criteria)
To be considered, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Minimum 1 year of conflicts experience within a mid-size or large law firm environment

Hands-on experience conducting conflict checks, performing corporate research, or supporting legal intake reviews

Familiarity with legal ethics rules and professional responsibility standards

Bachelor's degree or equivalent law firm experience demonstrating conflicts-specific expertise
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support attorney-facing work
-
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment

Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship now or in the future)

Ability to work onsite or hybrid in Columbus, OH

Preferred Qualifications (Standout Differentiators)
