The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is partnering with a healthcare startup to recruit a seasoned and skilled Growth Marketing Manager, Retention & Lifecycle to take ownership of customer engagement, retention, and lifecycle strategy.
This role is designed for a strategic, analytical, and deeply customer-centric marketer—someone who enjoys building intelligent, automated experiences that support users throughout their journey. You'll architect lifecycle programs from the ground up and play a critical role in driving activation, engagement, retention, and long-term value.
Role Overview
As the Growth Marketing Manager, Retention & Lifecycle, you will design and scale multi-channel lifecycle programs that connect customers to the right message at the right moment. You'll blend data, experimentation, and empathetic storytelling to create personalized experiences across email, SMS, in-app messaging, push notifications, and retargeting.
This role partners closely with product, clinical, and marketing teams to ensure communications are accurate, compliant, and aligned with brand values—especially in a regulated healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform the following to be considered for interview:

Own end-to-end lifecycle strategy, designing, launching, and optimizing programs across email, SMS, push, and in-app channels

Map high-impact customer touchpoints that educate, reassure, and convert users throughout their product and care journey

Build and scale lifecycle flows including onboarding, nurture, education, personalization, retention, upsell, and winback

Continuously optimize performance through segmentation strategies, content experiments, and A/B testing
-
Lead structured experimentation programs across messaging, timing, creative, and channel mix
-
Use cohort, funnel, and LTV analysis to measure impact and prioritize lifecycle improvements
-
Establish and maintain strong CRM foundations, including clean data flows, accurate triggers, and reliable event tracking
-
Ensure deliverability, QA, privacy, and HIPAA-aligned communications
-
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, clinical, and marketing teams to ensure messaging accuracy and empathy
-
Translate lifecycle insights into actionable recommendations that influence product and growth strategy

Write clear, supportive, high-performing lifecycle copy across all customer touchpoints
-
Simplify clinical or technical information into accessible, customer-friendly communication
-
Build dashboards and report regularly on performance, insights, and opportunities
-
Own and improve core lifecycle metrics including activation, retention, conversion, repeat usage, and lifetime value
Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered:

3–6 years of experience in a highly analytical lifecycle, retention, or growth marketing role
-
Proven experience driving engagement and retention through email, SMS, and in-app channels
-
Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience in experimentation, optimization, and A/B testing
-
Technical aptitude with CRM and lifecycle tools (e.g., Iterable, OneSignal, or similar platforms)
-
Ability to work cross-functionally and translate data into actionable insights
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Emphasized)
Candidates meeting these criteria will receive priority consideration:

Experience running lifecycle marketing at a design-centric company

Background in B2C tech, digital health, fintech, e-commerce, marketplaces, or beauty

Startup experience with clear, measurable impact on retention or LTV

Comfort operating in regulated environments with high standards for accuracy and compliance

Strong copywriting skills with a customer-first, empathetic voice

Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to non-marketers and stakeholders
