Looking to take the lead on high-impact municipal infrastructure projects in Texas? We're hiring a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer & Project Manager for a growing civil engineering firm based in Austin. If you're an experienced technical leader with deep knowledge of water infrastructure design and the ability to manage complex, multi-client portfolios this opportunity was built with you in mind.

What You'll Do

  • Lead engineering teams in the design of water and wastewater systems, including pipelines, lift and pump stations, treatment facilities, and solids handling systems.

  • Take ownership of the entire project lifecycle from initial planning and permitting through final design and delivery.

  • Balance design excellence with project scope, budgets, QA/QC, and timelines.

  • Collaborate with CAD designers, clients, financial and marketing teams, and regulatory agencies.

  • Drive stakeholder meetings and represent the firm in both client-facing and technical settings.

  • Assist with proposals and identify new business opportunities alongside the BD team.

  • Handle multiple concurrent projects and maintain consistent communication across internal and external teams.

You'll Need to Bring

  • Texas PE license (active and in good standing)

  • 12+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years specifically in project management or team leadership

  • A strong track record designing water/wastewater pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities, and related infrastructure

  • Experience navigating water quality regulations and utility compliance

  • Ability to manage scopes, budgets, and personnel across simultaneous projects

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across disciplines

  • Project portfolio/resume ready for review

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Bonus Points For

  • Previous work with Central Texas municipalities such as the City of Austin, San Antonio, or local water authorities

  • Familiarity with regional permitting and procurement processes

  • Business development or proposal writing experience

  • Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering
