A premier outpatient surgical facility in Northern California is looking for a skilled Surgery Center Administrator to take the helm of day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth initiatives.
This state-of-the-art facility features four operating rooms and delivers a range of services in general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ENT, pain management, podiatry, and more.
Role Snapshot
As the Administrator, you'll be responsible for the operational, financial, and clinical performance of the center. From maintaining compliance and improving patient outcomes to building physician relationships and identifying new service lines, this is a leadership role where operational excellence and strategic thinking go hand-in-hand.
Key Areas of Ownership
Operational Leadership

Oversee daily operations and regulatory readiness

Ensure compliance with federal/state guidelines and accreditation standards

Manage budgeting, vendor relationships, supply chain, and staffing efficiency

Serve as the central point of contact for the board, medical team, and executive leadership
Strategic Development & Market Growth

Analyze local market data to shape service expansion and pricing strategies

Lead new business initiatives and implement growth plans

Drive community awareness and physician engagement
Team Leadership & Staff Development

Hire, train, and evaluate clinical and administrative staff

Foster a high-performance culture through coaching and collaboration

Manage staffing levels based on case volume and center needs
Clinical Oversight & Quality Assurance

Partner with the Medical Director to ensure exceptional clinical standards

Oversee support departments including nursing, supply, and records

Monitor patient outcomes and satisfaction metrics
Quality & Risk Management

Implement patient safety protocols and infection control measures
-
Drive continuous improvement through quality benchmarks and analytics

Ensure preparedness for audits, surveys, and licensure renewals
Medical Staff Engagement

Manage credentialing and maintain up-to-date provider records

Promote alignment and communication between physicians and operations

Build strong, trust-based relationships with the medical community
Ideal Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required (master's or clinical background a plus)

Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a multi-specialty ASC or surgical services setting

Deep understanding of outpatient surgical workflows, especially orthopedics

Familiarity with payer contracting, budgeting, and supply management

Exceptional interpersonal, strategic, and organizational skills

Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and physician groups
