About the Role
HireNow Staffing is seeking a clinically sharp and patient-centered Nurse Practitioner to lead wound care services in a well-established outpatient clinic located in beautiful Alamogordo, New Mexico. This role is ideal for a provider who enjoys autonomy, procedure-based practice, and developing long-term therapeutic relationships with patients recovering from complex wounds.

You'll be part of a compassionate and collaborative team that treats a wide range of patients with chronic and acute wound care needs diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, surgical site complications, and more. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth wound assessments and implement evidence-based treatment protocols

  • Provide sharp debridement, application of advanced dressings, and wound vac management

  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, home health providers, and specialists as needed to coordinate care

  • Educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention, self-care, and proper hygiene practices

  • Document progress in a timely and compliant manner using electronic medical records

  • Identify early signs of complications such as infection or delayed healing

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Who Were Looking For

Required:

  • Master's degree (or higher) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

  • Active New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in urgent care, primary care, or relevant clinical setting

  • Comfortable with wound management, procedural care, and clinical autonomy

Preferred:

  • Professional fluency in Spanish (written and spoken)

  • Wound care certification (WOCN, WCC, or similar) a strong plus

  • Familiarity with outpatient EMR systems and interdisciplinary communication

  • Experience with underserved, rural, or high-complexity patient populations

Schedule & Location

  • Monday/Friday | 8:00 AM/5:00 PM

  • Possibility of one Saturday per month (rotating)

  • No overnight or on-call responsibilities

  • Candidates considering relocation should be prepared to attend an onsite interview with family or other key decision-makers
