About the Opportunity:
HireNow Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Engineer for a fully remote role with one of our top energy and utility infrastructure clients. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong transmission design experience looking to contribute to major utility and renewable energy projects across the U.S. while working from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) transmission lines (69kV to 500kV) using industry-standard software and engineering principles

  • Perform structural and electrical design of overhead transmission lines, including conductor selection, pole/tower design, and line routing

  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, technical reports, specifications, and material lists

  • Ensure compliance with NESC, IEEE, and other applicable codes and standards

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution

  • Provide technical support during construction and field activities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering (required)

  • 4+ years of experience in transmission line engineering and design

  • Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and related software tools

  • Strong understanding of transmission line components, structures, and construction methods

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • EIT or PE license preferred (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe)

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working on renewable energy transmission integration projects

  • Familiarity with FERC/NERC compliance requirements

  • Prior remote work experience or ability to work independently
