HireNow Staffing is helping a nationally respected employment law firm hire a talented Employment Counsel to join its remote legal team. This position is ideal for a litigator who enjoys the substance of legal practice strategy, analysis, writing without the pressure of generating business or long hours in courtrooms.

What You'll Do

Handle employment litigation matters and pre-litigation disputes for a diverse portfolio of employer clients

Respond to demand letters, agency charges, and assist in defending claims covered under Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI)

Collaborate with seasoned attorneys and legal staff to craft legal strategies and deliver excellent outcomes

Draft legal briefs, motions, and client correspondence with precision and confidence

Manage litigation from early case evaluation through resolution no in-person court appearances required

You're a Great Fit If You Have:
5-7 years of experience practicing employment law
Strong litigation skills, particularly in agency proceedings and civil matters
A JD from an ABA-accredited law school
Active bar membership in your current state of residence
Solid written communication and case management abilities
A self-directed, organized, and proactive work style
Preferred Extras:

Experience with EPLI-covered matters

Prior work in a law firm setting

Bar admission in California (a plus, not required)

Starting base salary: $130,000 (based on 1,500 hours/year)

Scalable model: $120K for 1,400 hrs. | $140K+ for 1,600 hrs.
