About the Role:
As the Plant Engineer, you'll be a key player in driving equipment reliability, improving plant performance, and fostering a safety-first culture. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will oversee all maintenance and reliability functions, manage capital projects, and coach a skilled team of technicians to operate at their best. You'll also be a central figure in shaping the plants long-term asset management strategy using data, root cause analysis, and TPM practices.
What You'll Do:

Champion plant safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, and local safety/environmental regulations.

Lead reliability initiatives focused on increasing OEE, minimizing downtime, and reducing maintenance costs.

Build and mentor a high-performing maintenance team with strong accountability and technical expertise.

Lead or support capital improvement projects, including scoping, budgeting, vendor management, and implementation.

Analyze equipment failures using structured problem-solving tools (RCA, FMEA, 5 Whys) and embed preventive solutions.

Manage the CMMS platform to ensure accurate work order tracking, preventive maintenance scheduling, and asset history.

Partner with cross-functional plant leadership to align maintenance goals with production, quality, and safety targets.

Promote TPM principles and drive plant-wide maintenance excellence programs.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field.

At least 3 years of experience leading maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment OR 5+ years in a supervisory capacity with direct engineering responsibilities.

Proven expertise in reliability-centered maintenance, root cause analysis, and equipment lifecycle management.

Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Familiarity with CMMS platforms and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

TPM experience or certification in maintenance excellence strategies is a plus.

Strong leadership presence, with the ability to build trust across hourly and salaried teams.
