HireNow Staffing is seeking a seasoned Registered Nurse with critical care experience to join a dynamic Cardiac Catheterization Lab in Ottumwa, Iowa. What You'll Be Doing

You'll support patients across the entire procedural journey from pre-op preparation through intra-procedure monitoring and post-procedure recovery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prep & Triage: Confirm pre-procedure orders, evaluate labs, allergies, NPO status, and administer pre-meds

• In-Procedure Duties: Circulate and assist during caths, STEMI cases, pacemaker insertions, vascular studies, and more

• Monitoring: Track hemodynamics, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and sedation responses during live procedures

• Response Ready: Recognize complications and initiate rapid interventions, including crash carts, cardioversion, and pacing

• Recovery Oversight: Ensure patient safety during sheath removal and observation phase; provide discharge education

• Team Collaboration: Work alongside interventional cardiologists, scrub techs, radiologic techs, and recovery nurses

• Documentation: Accurately chart procedures, supplies used, meds administered, and post-procedure status

This Role Is for You If You

Are a seasoned RN with strong critical care or emergency department experience
Excel in fast-paced, high-pressure situations that demand sharp assessment skills
Are confident with cardiac rhythms, sedation protocols, and emergency interventions
Want to work in a procedural specialty where your clinical impact is immediate and profound
Can reliably respond to on-call needs (within 30 minutes), including nights, weekends, and holidays

Minimum Requirements No Exceptions

• Active Iowa RN license (or multistate compact license)

• Graduate of an accredited RN program

• Current BLS & ACLS certification

• 2+ years of recent critical care, ICU, or ER nursing experience

• Willingness to participate in rotating on-call coverage

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Prior experience in a Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology setting
⭐ Familiar with STEMI protocols, vascular access, stents, and pacemaker insertions
⭐ Confident administering moderate sedation and managing post-procedure recovery
⭐ Iowa Mandatory Reporter certifications (or willingness to obtain)

The Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday Day Shift

• Rotating on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Must be able to arrive on-site within 30 minutes when called in
