About the Role
HireNow Staffing is seeking a compassionate and confident Nurse Practitioner to support a growing outpatient neurology program based in Alamogordo, New Mexico. This is a unique opportunity for an advanced practice provider who is eager to deepen their knowledge of neurological conditions while making a meaningful impact in a community where specialized care is deeply valued.

You'll work alongside experienced physicians and healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of neurological disorders in a patient-first environment. Ideal candidates bring strong clinical judgment, a steady hand under pressure, and a desire to serve patients across all ages.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct thorough neurological assessments and evaluate symptoms such as migraines, seizures, neuropathies, movement disorders, memory issues, and post-stroke complications

  • Collaborate with supervising neurologist and care team to establish and monitor treatment plans

  • Interpret diagnostic imaging and lab results, adjusting care plans as needed

  • Provide ongoing management for chronic neurological conditions including Parkinsons, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and dementia

  • Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications

  • Accurately document patient encounters and clinical decisions in the EMR system

  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to ongoing care improvement initiatives

Who Were Looking For

Required:

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

  • Active NP license in New Mexico

  • Minimum 1 year of urgent care or outpatient clinical experience

  • Strong diagnostic skills and comfort with neurological casework

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and patient education skills

Preferred:

  • Full professional fluency in Spanish (verbal and written)

  • Previous exposure to neurology or interest in pursuing specialized training

  • Familiarity with rural healthcare or underserved patient populations

Additional Information

  • Interview travel arrangements require all relocating candidates to bring their spouse/partner or relevant household decision-makers

  • Relocation support may be available for out-of-area applicants

  • No on-call duties
