Who This Role Is For

You're not new to the chaos of an ER you've got the confidence, skills, and steady hand it takes to manage everything from multi-trauma cases to pediatric fevers. You operate well on a night shift, prefer hands-on autonomy, and understand that patients and families depend on your calm, decisive care.

Must-Have Qualifications

To be considered for this role, all the following are required:

️ Valid RN license in Kentucky (or multistate compact license)
️ Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
️ Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
️ Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
️ Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of hire

Preferred But Not Required

⭐ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
⭐ Handle with Care (HWC) certification within 6 months of hire
⭐ Solid understanding of trauma triage, ESI, and pediatric resuscitation
⭐ Experience in rural or high-volume emergency departments

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

In this fast-paced, team-oriented ER, you'll be expected to:

• Assess, triage, and prioritize incoming patients using critical thinking and clinical judgment

• Carry out all components of the nursing process, including med administration, documentation, and re-evaluations

• Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and mental status communicate changes immediately

• Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan, from infants to seniors

• Coordinate with physicians, lab, radiology, and transport for efficient patient throughput

• Respond to code situations and medical emergencies with poise and competence

• Educate patients and families on condition management and follow-up care

• Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work areas, following all infection control and safety protocols

• Document all assessments and interventions thoroughly and accurately in the EMR
