Salary: $120,000 $140,000 annually

HireNow Staffing is partnering with a leading engineering firm to find a highly skilled Transmission Line Engineer to join their growing team. This remote opportunity offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S. while contributing to major utility and energy infrastructure projects.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have experience designing high-voltage transmission lines and a strong understanding of industry standards, structural analysis, and environmental considerations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and reliable transmission solutions across diverse geographical regions.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and analyze overhead transmission lines (69kV to 500kV)

Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and drawings

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements

Collaborate with project managers, civil and electrical engineers, and GIS specialists

Support permitting, environmental impact studies, and regulatory reviews

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering

4+ years of experience in transmission line design

Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and other line design software

Strong understanding of NESC and other industry standards

PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months

Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative environment
