About the Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is partnering with an Am Law 50 firm to identify a skilled Business Development Specialist who will support the firms global Energy & Infrastructure industry initiatives. This is a high-impact role for a professional who excels in transforming complex legal and industry insights into compelling client-facing materials, strategic pitches, and polished proposals.
This Specialist will collaborate closely with attorneys, industry leaders, and BD colleagues to support high-value transactional work and cross-border projects across renewable energy, oil & gas, power, infrastructure, transportation, and other related sectors. The ideal candidate brings both the precision of a marketer and the strategic mindset of a business advisor.
This is a hybrid position requiring consistent onsite presence to support attorney collaboration and real-time BD initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Client Pitches, Proposals & RFPs

Partner with attorneys to craft persuasive, tailored pitches and proposals that showcase the firm's strengths in energy, infrastructure, and related corporate practices.

Project-manage complex RFP responses from intake to final submission, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and a strong competitive narrative.
Marketing Collateral & Content Development

Develop and maintain core BD assets, including capability statements, matter lists, attorney bios, practice descriptions, and industry-specific collateral.

Collaborate with digital and design teams to enhance visuals, positioning, and messaging across materials.
Rankings, Directories & Industry Recognition

Lead submissions for Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR, and other rankings relevant to Energy & Infrastructure.

Gather deal data, coordinate attorney interviews, and create compelling submissions that elevate the firm's profile.
Research, Targeting & Industry Intelligence

Conduct in-depth research on clients, prospects, competitor activity, market trends, and emerging opportunities within global energy and infrastructure sectors.

Translate research findings into actionable insights that support targeting strategies and cross-selling initiatives.
Events, Sponsorships & Partnerships

Manage industry event logistics, webinars, conference sponsorships, and partnership programs; assess value and ROI for each initiative.

Maintain and curate contact lists in CRM systems to support outreach, follow-up, and audience segmentation.
Attorney & Practice Group Support

Support industry leadership teams by developing BD plans, tracking initiative progress, and coordinating cross-practice collaboration.

Serve as a trusted resource for attorneys seeking guidance on marketing strategy, client development, and industry trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with marketing, communications, PR, and design teams to develop thought leadership, digital campaigns, and media-forward initiatives.

Ensure messaging continuity across web content, pitch materials, publications, and internal communications.
Required Proficiencies

Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to distill technical subject matter into persuasive materials.

Strong understanding of professional services marketing and BD best practices, especially within the legal sector.

Familiarity with corporate legal services, deal flow, and terminology related to energy and infrastructure transactions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms (InterAction preferred), and BD-related tools.

Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage competing deadlines and multiple stakeholders.

Relationship-focused mindset with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, law, or related discipline (required).

5+ years of business development or marketing experience in a law firm (required).

Experience supporting Corporate, Energy, Project Finance, or Infrastructure practices is highly preferred.

Candidates must demonstrate career stability and experience managing sophisticated BD projects.
