About the Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is partnering with a rapidly growing e-commerce and logistics technology company that is transforming how grocery retailers operate. They are seeking seasoned Customer Trainers who can guide grocery partners through onboarding, education, and hands-on adoption of their platform.
As an early addition to the Training organization, you won't simply deliver modules you will shape the learning experience, influence customer confidence, and ensure store teams feel empowered using the technology from day one. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys teaching, and excels working directly with users in the field.
Key Responsibilities
To be considered for an interview, candidates must demonstrate experience performing the following responsibilities:
Lead Engaging, Hands-On Trainings
  • Deliver structured training sessions both onsite and virtual that help new users feel comfortable navigating the platform.
  • Translate complex workflows into practical, easy-to-understand guidance for diverse audiences.
Adapt to Every Learning Style
  • Tailor your teaching approach for store associates, managers, and partners with varying levels of technical proficiency.
  • Adjust in real time based on group dynamics, pace, and customer questions.
Provide On-Site Support During Launch
  • Travel to grocery partner locations to manage go-live training, troubleshoot issues on the floor, and ensure smooth operational adoption.
  • Serve as the calm, knowledgeable presence during high-pressure launch moments.
Empower and Guide Customers Toward Long-Term Success
  • Build trust with store teams through patience, clarity, and empathy.
  • Reinforce best practices that promote consistency and high-quality execution long after training.
Improve and Evolve Training Content
  • Capture customer feedback directly from the field and relay insights to the Product, Customer Success, and Onboarding teams.
  • Refine training decks, scripts, videos, and user guides to ensure accuracy and alignment with real-world workflows.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
  • Stay in sync with departmental updates, upcoming product features, and known user challenges to ensure training is always current and effective.
Travel Flexibility
  • Primarily support customers in Bay Area, Southern California, or the Tri-State region, with additional travel based on partner needs.
Preferred Qualifications Strongly Emphasized
Candidates with the following credentials will be prioritized for interviews:
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer training, onboarding, implementation, or field enablement roles
  • Proven ability to deliver both in-person and virtual training at a high level
  • Background in grocery, restaurant, retail technology, or SaaS (required industry familiarity is essential for success)
  • Experience in fast-paced, dynamic startup environments
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Square, Clover) is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, learning platforms, or knowledge bases
  • Outstanding communication skills, patience, and genuine customer empathy
  • Comfort presenting to both small groups and large teams, adjusting tone and format as needed
Candidates who have trained in operational environments (grocery stores, restaurants, distribution centers, etc.) will stand out significantly.
