Position Overview
HireNow Staffing is partnering with a growing organization in the Naples area seeking a seasoned Industrial Engineer to drive measurable operational performance improvements across production and business functions. This role requires a hands-on engineer who thrives in environments where process discipline, data analysis, and execution matter.
This is not a theoretical or purely analytical position. The selected candidate must be comfortable on the floor, collaborating with leadership and frontline teams, identifying inefficiencies in real time, and implementing structured improvements that deliver quantifiable results.
Employment stability is essential. Candidates with frequent short-term positions or inconsistent career progression will not be considered.
Core Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

Analyze current workflows, labor utilization, and production data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

Design and implement sustainable process improvements that increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve quality metrics.

Lead structured problem-solving efforts using root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.

Establish and refine standard work procedures to improve consistency and operational control.
Lean Implementation & Operational Strategy

Apply Lean tools including value stream mapping, visual management, takt alignment, 5S, Kaizen events, and structured improvement cycles.

Drive measurable improvements in cycle time, inventory levels, and overall equipment effectiveness.

Partner with department leaders to build and reinforce a culture of continuous improvement.

Develop performance dashboards and KPI tracking systems to monitor gains and identify future opportunities.
Capacity Planning & Resource Optimization

Develop labor standards, time studies, and capacity models to support production planning.

Evaluate and improve layout design, workflow sequencing, and material flow.

Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership regarding staffing levels and operational scaling.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to align improvement initiatives with broader business objectives.

Present findings, proposals, and performance results to site leadership.

Support capital investment evaluations, including equipment selection and ROI analysis when applicable.
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related discipline).

Minimum 5 years of progressive Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing or operational environment.

Demonstrated success improving throughput, reducing waste, and eliminating process constraints.

Strong knowledge and practical application of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Advanced data analysis skills and proficiency with Excel or similar analytical tools.

Proven ability to lead initiatives independently and influence cross-functional teams.

Stable employment history with demonstrated tenure in prior roles.

Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Ability to work hybrid in Naples, FL with regular onsite presence.
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Emphasized)

Background in capacity modeling and production planning systems.

Experience leading or mentoring junior engineers or technicians.

No manufacturing or operational engineering experience.

Design-only engineering background with no process improvement exposure.

Less than 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience.
