Compensation: $80,000 – $120,000 base salary

The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for a top regional law firm seeking a Marketing & Business Development Analyst to join its New Jersey-based Marketing Department.
This role reports directly to the Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer and works closely with attorneys, practice groups, and firm leadership to support the firm's strategic growth initiatives. The Analyst will play a critical role in delivering actionable market intelligence, strengthening pitch effectiveness, maintaining high-quality CRM and experience data, and helping the firm compete effectively across key industries.
This opportunity is ideal for a highly detail-oriented, analytically driven professional with experience in legal or professional services marketing who values long-term stability and impact.

Key Responsibilities
Candidates will be evaluated for interview consideration based on demonstrated success performing the following responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth market research, competitive intelligence, and opportunity analysis to support practice and industry strategies

Prepare detailed intelligence reports on clients, prospects, industries, and legal market trends to inform business development priorities

Track and report on key competitor developments, client activity, and emerging opportunities

Support marketing and business development initiatives with data-driven insights using internal and external research tools
-
Lead data input, quality control, and process improvement for the firms CRM and experience databases, ensuring accurate matter and credential reporting

Maintain and enhance internal experience resources to improve pitch speed, quality, and strategic alignment

Assist with coordination and preparation of RFP responses, proposals, and client presentations
-
Collaborate with marketing colleagues to strengthen pitch materials, templates, and BD workflows
-
Track, analyze, and report on proposal and pitch outcomes to identify trends and improvement opportunities
-
Develop and update marketing collateral and practice materials in alignment with firm branding standards
-
Coordinate submissions for legal rankings, awards, and industry recognition, partnering with external PR resources as needed

Work directly with attorneys and practice leadership to execute targeted business development initiatives

Provide proactive recommendations for outreach strategies and new business opportunities based on research findings

Leverage CRM tools to track relationships, engagement activity, and pipeline development

Provide coverage during peak workload periods to ensure timely delivery across marketing priorities
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

Bachelor's degree required

3–5 years of experience in marketing, business development, research, or analytics

Prior experience in a professional services environment (law firm, accounting, consulting, or similar) is required

Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills

Excellent writing, proofreading, and editorial precision

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and senior stakeholders

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
-
Demonstrated resume stability and long-term professional continuity

Ability to work onsite in Hackensack, NJ (not accessible via public transportation)
Preferred Qualifications (Strong Differentiators)
Candidates with the following experience will be viewed as standout applicants:

Familiarity with legal marketing and research platforms such as Nexl, Foundations, Bloomberg Law, and Dunn & Bradstreet

Experience supporting pitch development, proposals, and RFP processes in a law firm setting

Strong comfort working directly with practice leaders on strategic business development initiatives

Willingness to travel between offices occasionally as needed
