The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is partnering with a top-tier regional law firm to recruit a seasoned and skilled Litigation Associate to join its Advocacy Department in Houston.
This role is intentionally designed for early-career litigators who want real courtroom exposure, hands-on responsibility, and direct mentorship—rather than being siloed into narrow support tasks. The firm maintains an active federal and state litigation practice and is seeking attorneys who are ready to contribute meaningfully from day one.
Only candidates with 1–2 years of complex litigation experience will be considered.
Role Overview
As a Litigation Associate, you will work closely with senior litigators on high-stakes matters across a diverse docket. You will be expected to take ownership of substantive litigation tasks, sharpen your advocacy skills, and develop into a well-rounded trial attorney.
This position offers early responsibility, close mentorship, and direct client interaction, making it an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are serious about long-term litigation careers.
Key Responsibilities
To be considered for interview, candidates must demonstrate experience performing the following:
  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and memoranda in complex litigation matters
  • Manage and participate in all phases of discovery, including document review, written discovery, and strategy development
  • Take and defend depositions with appropriate supervision
  • Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and pretrial filings
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client advisement
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and litigation teams across multiple matters
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism
Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet all of the following to be considered:
  • 1–2 years of complex litigation experience (ONLY)
  • Experience with depositions, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills
  • Excellent analytical ability and sound legal judgment
  • High attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Texas Bar admission (required)
  • Law school GPA of 3.2 or higher (required)
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Emphasized)

  • Experience handling matters in both federal and state court
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced litigation environments
  • Strong academic credentials and writing samples reflecting precision and clarity
