Compensation: $130,000 – $200,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)
Status: Full-time | Position available immediately

The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is partnering with a well-established civil litigation defense firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join its West Los Angeles office. This opportunity is well suited for a California-licensed attorney who is eager to continue developing litigation skills in a collaborative, team-oriented environment that values mentorship, professionalism, and long-term career growth.
Attorneys in this practice are given meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, and hands-on litigation experience while working closely with experienced partners and senior attorneys.
Role Overview
The Associate Attorney will support and manage civil litigation defense matters across all stages of litigation. This role provides the opportunity to strengthen core litigation skills, take ownership of assignments, and build trusted client relationships in a supportive and growth-oriented firm culture.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates will be considered for interview based on demonstrated ability to:

Handle court appearances and substantive motion practice

Draft pleadings and manage written discovery

Take and defend depositions of parties and witnesses
-
Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations

Support pre-trial preparation and trial proceedings
-
Serve as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and professional communication

Manage assignments with attention to detail, deadlines, and strategic objectives
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

Active member of the California State Bar, in good standing

Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

High level of professionalism, reliability, and sound judgment

Stable work history demonstrating commitment and progression
