The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is partnering with a nationally recognized Am Law 200 firm to identify a seasoned Financial Services Senior Associate to support a rapidly expanding transactional finance platform. This role is ideal for an experienced attorney who thrives in complex deal environments and is ready to take on a visible, high-impact position within a collaborative, growth-oriented practice.
The firm maintains a strong footprint across the Southeast with national deal flow, offering senior associates the opportunity to work on sophisticated finance transactions while continuing to deepen technical expertise and client-facing responsibilities.
Role Overview
As a Senior Associate in the Financial Services practice, you will play a key role in structuring, negotiating, and executing complex financing transactions across multiple industries and asset classes. You will work closely with partners, junior associates, and clients on matters that demand precision, sound judgment, and strong commercial awareness.
This position is well suited for attorneys who are confident managing core deal components independently while contributing strategically to larger, multi-party transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform the following to be considered for interview:

Draft, review, and negotiate documentation for complex finance transactions, including credit agreements and ancillary documents

Support and lead components of syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions

Advise clients on deal structure, risk allocation, and execution strategy

Collaborate across finance sub-practices to deliver integrated solutions
-
Manage transaction timelines, diligence processes, and closing mechanics
-
Communicate clearly with clients, lenders, borrowers, and internal stakeholders
-
Mentor junior associates and contribute to efficient deal execution
-
Maintain exceptional attention to detail while handling multiple active matters
Required Qualifications
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must meet the following criteria:

5+ years of transactional law experience, with a focus on finance
-
Prior experience at an Am Law 200 firm (required)

Demonstrated experience working on sophisticated finance transactions
-
Strong academic credentials and professional writing skills
-
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment

Willingness to work in a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office) in Charlotte or Charleston

Not currently barred in North Carolina or South Carolina (firm will support bar admission as needed)
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Emphasized)
Candidates with the following background will receive priority consideration:

Substantial experience with syndicated loans and leveraged finance

Exposure to one or more of the following areas:
