Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive ophthalmologic evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients.
- Diagnose and manage common and complex ophthalmic conditions within the scope of a general ophthalmology practice.
- Perform cataract surgery and other appropriate ophthalmic procedures.
- Manage preoperative and postoperative care for surgical patients.
- Maintain an approximately 80% clinical and 20% operating-room practice mix.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
- Utilize advanced ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical technologies.
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, nurses, and other clinical professionals.
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment alternatives, procedures, recovery, and ongoing eye health.

Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Successful completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
- Current California physician licensure or eligibility to obtain California licensure.
- Demonstrated competency in comprehensive/general ophthalmology.
- Training and clinical competency in cataract surgery.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a physician-led multidisciplinary environment.
