Compensation: $170,000 – $190,000 base salary

The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is partnering with a top regional law firm to recruit a seasoned and skilled Litigation Associate to join its Logistics, Energy, and Manufacturing Litigation Group in New Orleans.
This role is designed for litigators who want substantive responsibility, exposure to high-impact matters, and the opportunity to work on sophisticated cases with national reach. The practice handles complex disputes in both federal and state courts and values associates who bring strong analytical thinking, precision in writing, and confidence in advocacy.
Candidates must have at least three years of litigation experience to be considered.
Role Overview
As a Litigation Associate, you will play a meaningful role in active and complex matters involving energy, environmental, logistics, and manufacturing-related disputes. You will work closely with experienced litigators while managing key aspects of cases independently, making this an excellent opportunity for attorneys looking to deepen their courtroom and case-management experience.

Key Responsibilities
To be considered for interview, candidates must demonstrate experience performing the following:

Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

Draft and argue substantive motions and legal memoranda in complex matters

Conduct and defend depositions with increasing responsibility

Manage discovery strategy, including document review, written discovery, and coordination with clients and experts

Assist with trial preparation, hearings, and court appearances
-
Perform detailed legal research and analysis to support case strategy

Collaborate effectively with partners, senior associates, and litigation teams
-
Maintain exceptional attention to detail, responsiveness, and professional judgment
Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet all of the following to be considered:

3+ years of litigation experience
-
Strong background in energy and environmental litigation
-
Hands-on experience with depositions, discovery, and motion practice

Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
-
Strong academic credentials with a law school GPA of 3.2 or higher
-
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Active admission to the Louisiana Bar (required)
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Emphasized)
Candidates with the following experience will receive priority consideration:

Experience in business litigation, complex tort matters, or products liability

Exposure to insurance coverage disputes

Experience handling matters in both federal and state courts

Background supporting large-scale or multi-jurisdictional litigation

Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases with minimal supervision
