Company Background:
Our client, established in 1994, is a leading material specialist and solid surface supplier in Asia with operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Beijing. They offer a full suite of services including supply, fabrication, installation, and project management of high-performance surfaces like engineered quartz, acrylic solid surfaces, sintered stone, and marble/tiles.

Job Purpose:

To manage and optimize inventory control, warehouse operations, and logistics coordination for solid surface materials, engineered quartz, and related components used in high-end interior projects. This role supports fabrication schedules, project timelines, and ensures quality delivery aligned with our client's standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records of raw slabs, fabricated components, adhesives, and installation accessories
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies
  • Monitor inventory turnover and coordinate replenishment with procurement and sales teams
  • Implement and maintain system for inventory tracking
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of premium surface materials (e.g., HIMACS, COMPAC, GANI)

Logistics Coordination

  • Plan and manage inbound shipments from suppliers and outbound deliveries to project sites
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, and customs agents for timely and compliant movement of goods
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents including delivery orders, invoices, packing lists, and permits
  • Track delivery performance and resolve transportation issues
  • Coordinate with project managers to align deliveries with installation schedules

Warehouse Operations

  • Supervise warehouse and yard teams to ensure safe and efficient handling of heavy slabs and fabricated pieces
  • Maintain organized storage systems for different material types and project batches
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health (WSH) standards and company SOPs
  • Support fabrication team with timely material availability and movement

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Admin, or related field
  • 35 years in inventory/logistics roles in building materials, construction, or interior finishing
  • Handling of solid surface materials, fabrication workflows, project-based logistics
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage
  • Forklift license or logistics certifications are a plus



Salary Range: RM3000 - RM4500
