Job Description (JD)
- Implement, monitor, and enforce EHS policies and procedures at construction sites in accordance with the company's EHS management system.
- Conduct EHS site induction and safety training for new employees, subcontractors, and management personnel.
- Collect, organize, and maintain EHS-related data for statistical analysis, regulatory compliance, and internal reporting.
- Identify workplace hazards, assess associated risks, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Job Safety Observations (JSO) and risk assessments.
- Maintain complete and accurate EHS documentation to support audits, inspections, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure construction site compliance with applicable EHS laws, regulations, and statutory requirements, including those set by Malaysia's Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
- Monitor contractors' safety performance and ensure compliance with site safety rules and standards.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders on EHS-related matters.
- Manage and maintain the site office, first aid room, and other related facilities.
- Prepare EHS-related memos, warning notices, and duty rosters as required.
- Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, work permits, and statutory documentation.
- Assist in internal and external audits, including inspections conducted by regulatory authorities.
- Support the Safety Officer in carrying out EHS responsibilities and perform any other ad hoc EHS-related duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements (JR)
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Registered as an OSH Coordinator with Malaysia's Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
- Minimum 1–3 years of EHS experience in construction projects; experience in data center, industrial, or infrastructure projects is an added advantage.
- Possession of valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications is preferred.
- Good knowledge of construction safety standards, regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct training sessions and prepare reports.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to make sound judgments and decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with EHS management systems and reporting tools is an advantage.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of punctuality.
