Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for regulatory review and compliance management related to Singapore and Malaysia food regulations, ensuring company products comply with local legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for product formulation review, evaluating the compliance and food safety risks of raw materials, additives, and ingredients used.
  • Responsible for product packaging review, including label verification, nutrition information, marketing claims, and regulatory compliance checks.
  • Conduct food safety risk assessments, identify potential risks, and provide improvement recommendations and preventive measures.
  • Responsible for supplier audits and evaluations, reviewing suppliers' food safety management systems and production site compliance.
  • Assist in establishing, updating, and maintaining food safety-related documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and records.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal departments such as R&D, purchasing, production, and sales to drive food safety and regulatory-related matters.
  • Follow up on food safety-related complaints, abnormalities, and corrective actions.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties and special assignments assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree and above in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, or related disciplines is preferred.
  • Candidates with working experience in the food manufacturing or related food industry are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Singapore and Malaysia food regulations, labeling requirements, and food safety management systems is preferred.
  • Possess good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and execution skills.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Able to accommodate supplier audits and short business trips.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Candidates may be based in Kuala Lumpur; however, monthly travel to Johor Bahru for meetings is required.
