Junior Application Engineer | Johor Jaya

Job Summary

Due to our business expansion in Johor, we are seeking a proactive and motivated Junior Application Engineer to support our Cooling Water and Boiler Water Treatment Services. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or junior engineers who want to build a strong technical foundation in industrial water treatment, system hygiene, and operational support.

You will be part of a regional technical team, delivering service excellence, conducting system performance monitoring, and supporting customers in maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant water systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Service & System Monitoring

• Conduct routine site visits across Johor to monitor cooling tower and boiler water systems.
• Perform water sampling, onsite testing, and system performance checks.
• Analyze water quality data and assist in optimizing system performance.
• Support troubleshooting activities and recommend corrective actions.

2. Application & Operational Support

• Assist in implementing water treatment programs for new and existing customers.
• Support chemical dosing setup, calibration, and basic equipment maintenance.
• Prepare service reports, performance summaries, and technical documentation.

3. Customer Interaction

• Provide frontline technical support with guidance from senior engineers.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.
• Build strong working relationships with facility engineers and plant operators.

4. Compliance & Safety

• Follow internal SOPs and safety guidelines during all service activities.
• Support Legionella risk mitigation and hygiene monitoring programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Chemistry, or related technical fields
• Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Full training will be provided.
• Interest in water treatment, industrial utilities, or process engineering.
• Basic understanding of cooling towers or boilers is an advantage (not mandatory).
• Strong analytical and problem solving mindset.
• Good communication skills and willingness to interact with customers.
• Responsible, self driven, and able to work independently with guidance.
• Possess a valid driving license and willing to travel within Johor.

Salary Range: Up to RM4.5k
