Job Description (JD)
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site safety plans for data center construction projects in accordance with client requirements and applicable legal regulations.
  • Ensure daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings are conducted, and enforce safe work practices across all site activities.
  • Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
  • Plan, establish, and maintain site safety management systems to meet client and project-specific requirements.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • Perform risk assessments and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Follow up on identified safety issues, track corrective actions through to closure, maintain proper documentation, and ensure 100% closure of all safety findings while establishing standardized compliance records.
  • Ensure all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions are promptly reported to the EHS Manager and Project Manager.
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Prepare, review, and submit safety reports as required by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with local occupational safety regulations, company safety policies, DOSH requirements, and all relevant statutory documentation.
  • Apply knowledge of local and international safety standards where applicable, including ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
  • Maintain complete and accurate site safety documentation, including Permit-to-Work (PTW) records, inspection reports, and statutory certificates.
  • Coordinate and support third-party audits and inspections by regulatory authorities.
  • Promote and foster a strong safety culture among all project stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and emergency preparedness activities.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on safety performance.
  • Apply practical and innovative problem-solving approaches to address on-site safety challenges.
  • Demonstrate strong observation, analytical, and reporting skills in managing safety performance.

Job Requirements (JR)
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Possess a valid DOSH Green Book (Registered Safety & Health Officer) certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an EHS/Safety Officer in the construction industry, preferably with large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
  • Experience in data center construction or other high-risk technical facility projects will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of construction-related hazards, including electrical works, M&E systems, working at heights, lifting operations, and heavy equipment activities.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and identify potential safety risks.
  • Good communication and leadership skills with the ability to train, influence, and engage employees at all levels. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and safety reporting systems.
  • Possess valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Additional certifications in Confined Space, Fire Safety, Fall Protection, or other relevant safety disciplines are preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to make sound judgments and decisions under pressure.
