About the job Finance Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
Audit and Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during annual audits.
- Identify discrepancies and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and implement necessary adjustments to financial practices.
- Assist in tax planning and strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and manage the companys cash flow.
- Analyze cash flow trends and work to optimize cash flow positions.
Full Set Accounts:
- Prepare full set of accounts.
- Maintain and update accounting systems and records for accuracy.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal controls.
- Provide recommendations to improve internal processes and financial management practices.
- Assist with the implementation of best practices in accounting and finance.
Financial Analysis and Decision Support:
- Provide regular financial analysis and reports to management, helping in decision-making processes.
- Identify key financial indicators and trends to support strategic planning.
Ad Hoc Support:
- Provide financial related support and analysis for special projects and business initiatives as needed.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in finance, accounting, or audit roles, with a focus on taxation, audit, cash flow management; experience in full set accounts will be an advantage.
- Experience in financial statements, taxation, and audits management.
- Familiar with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
- Able to work independently and afford pressure.
