Job Description:

The Planner plays a crucial role in managing production schedules, coordinating material requirements, and ensuring efficient operations to meet customer demands. This position involves collaborating with production, logistics, and procurement teams to optimize resources and maintain seamless workflow. The Planner will develop strategies to balance production capacity with customer orders while adhering to quality and delivery standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Production Scheduling:

    • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, capacity, and material availability.
    • Ensure timely adjustments to schedules to address changing demands or unforeseen disruptions.
  2. Material Planning:

    • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure sufficient raw material availability.
    • Monitor inventory levels and minimize shortages or overstock situations.
  3. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with production, logistics, and sales teams to align operations with customer requirements.
    • Communicate effectively to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure smooth workflow.
  4. Performance Monitoring:

    • Track and analyze production performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
    • Implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce lead times.
  5. Forecasting:

    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to anticipate future demand and adjust plans accordingly.
    • Analyze historical data and market trends to develop accurate forecasts.
  6. Process Improvement:

    • Identify inefficiencies in planning and scheduling processes and recommend solutions.
    • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles to optimize production flow.
  7. Customer Coordination:

    • Ensure that production schedules meet customer delivery timelines.
    • Provide updates on order status and resolve issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in supply chain management, production planning, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production planning or similar roles, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic production environments.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and supply chain optimization is an advantage.
  • Fluent in Chinese (both written and spoken) to deal with the management team in China and ensure smooth communication across teams.
