Key Responsibilities:
  1. Safety Data Management:

    • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure the protection of company information and assets within the data center.
    • Monitor and maintain safe working conditions, including regular risk assessments and safety audits.
    • Respond to emergency situations (e.g., fire, electrical failure, equipment malfunction) to ensure the safety of staff and visitors.
    • Coordinate emergency drills, such as fire evacuation and power failure simulations, to ensure readiness.
  2. Data Security & Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with industry standards for data protection and safety (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST).
    • Monitor cybersecurity threats and safeguard data from unauthorized access, theft, or tampering.
    • Assist with the development and enforcement of data center security protocols (physical and digital).
    • Monitor data center access controls to restrict unauthorized access to sensitive data or hardware.
  3. Incident Management & Reporting:

    • Investigate and document any safety or data security incidents that occur, ensuring proper reporting and corrective action.
    • Maintain records of incidents, safety audits, and inspections for regulatory and internal compliance.
    • Provide reports and updates to management about safety performance and risk status.
  4. Risk Assessment & Continuous Improvement:

    • Conduct regular risk assessments of the data center to identify potential hazards and data security vulnerabilities.
    • Recommend and implement corrective measures to minimize risks, both physical (e.g., fire, electrical hazards) and cyber-related (e.g., data breaches).
  5. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure the data center complies with all relevant regulations, including health, safety, data privacy, and environmental laws.
    • Assist with audits and inspections from regulatory bodies and ensure corrective actions are taken where necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma / Bachelors degree in Information Technology in Information  Security, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in Information Security (e.g., CISSP, CISM), or IT Governance are beneficial.
  • Proven experience in safety management, information security, or data center operations.
  • Familiarity with the workings of data centers is highly preferable.

Remuneration:
