Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring all materials and goods are properly stored and managed.
- Ensure accurate inventory management, tracking stock levels, and performing regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to transport materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform stocking and unloading of shipments, ensuring materials are stored in the correct locations and are easily accessible.
- Monitor shelf life and storage conditions of products, ensuring all inventory is stored appropriately to prevent damage or loss.
- Support in order picking and preparing shipments for production and customer orders.
- Assist with regular stock taking, generating reports, and managing warehouse documentation.
- Ensure that all items are labeled properly with accurate product descriptions, serial numbers, and barcodes.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to the Warehouse Supervisor and help resolve them promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production, sales, and logistics, to ensure smooth material flow and stock availability.
- Assist in maintaining and tracking warehouse equipment and request maintenance or replacements as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift operation experience and a valid forklift driving license are mandatory.
- Good understanding of inventory control and stock management processes.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving heavy items.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and the ability to maintain a safe working environment.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
