Key Responsibilities:

  1. Site Safety Monitoring:

    • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
    • Monitor the implementation of safety plans and ensure workers are adhering to safety protocols.
    • Identify potential hazards, assess risk levels, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  2. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure that all safety procedures comply with OSHA, local safety codes, and other industry regulations.
    • Manage and facilitate the application of the Yellow Book guidelines, as required, to ensure compliance with federal safety standards.
  3. Training and Education:

    • Provide safety training to site personnel, including induction for new employees, regular refresher courses, and emergency response drills.
    • Ensure workers are properly equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) and are trained on its proper use.
  4. Accident Investigation and Reporting:

    • Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe working conditions on site.
    • Compile detailed reports of incidents, outlining findings and recommended actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Ensure proper documentation of all safety activities, including inspections, training, and incident reports.
  5. Safety Equipment and Materials:

    • Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and availability of safety equipment and first aid supplies on site.
    • Ensure that safety barriers, signs, and alerts are properly positioned to warn of hazards and restricted areas.
  6. Emergency Response Planning:

    • Develop and implement emergency response and evacuation plans.
    • Conduct regular emergency drills to prepare the team for different emergency scenarios.
  7. Reporting and Communication:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on safety inspections, incidents, training, and compliance documentation.
    • Report safety performance metrics to upper management, including areas of concern or improvement.
    • Serve as the liaison between regulatory agencies, management, and site personnel on all safety matters.
  8. Risk Assessment:

    • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify safety hazards associated with specific tasks, equipment, and environmental factors.
    • Implement mitigation measures and update safety procedures based on risk assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Yellow Book Certification is compulsory.
  • Mandarin Speaker is highly preferable, as most of the clients are from China.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a site safety role in construction or industrial settings.
  • Proven experience in managing safety programs and ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
