Job Descriptions
- Assist clients with registration, identity verification, forms and pre-consultation preparation.
- Perform and accurately record vital signs and basic health measurements.
- Support blood collection and specimen handling within the required qualifications and scope of practice.
- Ensure specimens are correctly labelled, documented, stored and transported, including temperature-sensitive samples.
- Coordinate with external laboratories on test requests, specimen collection, turnaround times and results.
- Monitor outstanding test results and ensure completed results are promptly forwarded to the attending doctor.
- Prepare, clean and reset consultation and treatment rooms, including equipment and clinical supplies.
- Assist doctors and nurses during procedures where appropriate.
- Conduct routine equipment checks, quality control and calibration records for point-of-care devices.
- Monitor clinical supplies and reagents, including stock levels, expiry dates and stock rotation.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, documentation and system entries.
- Follow strict hygiene, infection control, sharps disposal and clinical waste procedures.
- Coordinate with the front desk to ensure smooth client movement and efficient room utilisation.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support offsite health screenings and corporate health events.
- Assist with implementation and validation of new point-of-care equipment.
- Provide front desk registration support during busy periods.
- Assist with stock counts, audits and inspection preparation.
- Support internal reporting by compiling screening volume and laboratory turnaround data.
Job Requirements
Essential
- Relevant healthcare qualification appropriate to the position.
- Medical Laboratory Technologist candidates should have a recognised MLT qualification and applicable registration under the Allied Health Professions Act 2016.
- Clinic Assistant candidates should have a relevant healthcare certificate or diploma.
- Detail-oriented, accurate and comfortable performing routine work requiring precision.
- Able to manage multiple clinical and administrative responsibilities.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Willing to work a six-day rotating schedule, including weekends.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a clinic, laboratory or health screening environment.
- Phlebotomy experience and relevant certification.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems or electronic medical records.
- Mandarin-speaking ability is an advantage.
