Job Descriptions
- Provide technical assistance and sound engineering guidance to the Sales team in responding to customer and supplier enquiries.
- Identify and source suitable products, both internally and externally, according to customer specifications and application requirements.
- Assess system deficiencies, investigate technical issues, and provide effective troubleshooting recommendations within the required timeframe.
- Work directly with customers to understand their requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions or alternatives.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to foster long-term business partnerships.
- Collaborate with Senior Application Engineers and the Regional Product Manager (APAC) to support business objectives and technical initiatives.
- Coordinate with global teams on product-related matters, technical support, and project requirements.
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and technical briefings to customers and relevant stakeholders.
- Implement business strategies, sales plans, and initiatives in accordance with Management's direction.
- Visit customer sites and provide on-site technical assistance and support when required.
- Perform any other duties, assignments, or projects as delegated by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 4–5 years of relevant experience in a similar engineering position, preferably within the mechanical engineering industry, with experience in Power Transmission (PT) products.
- Strong technical capabilities with a solid understanding of engineering principles, product applications, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Self-driven and able to work independently, while also contributing effectively as part of a team to achieve project and business objectives.
- Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities while maintaining timely delivery and quality standards.
- Willingness to travel and provide on-site technical support to customers as needed.
