Test Engineer (Semiconductor/Optical) | Senai

Company Background:

The company is a prominent provider of sensory experience solutions with expertise in various core technologies including semiconductor. The company is located in Senai, Johor. Notably, they are the sole micro-component manufacturing company from China ranked in the top 10 company in China.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize test plans, test cases, and test procedures for semiconductor components and VR devices. 
• Design and maintain test setups, fixtures, and automated test systems. 
• Perform functional, reliability, and performance testing to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications. 
• Analyze test data, identify failures, and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions. 
• Collaborate with R&D, design, and manufacturing teams to improve product testability and yield. 
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including validation and pilot runs. Maintain proper documentation of test processes, results, and reports. 
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality systems, and safety requirements. 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. 
• 2–5 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics, or related high-tech industries. 
• Experience with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, ATE systems). 
• Knowledge of test automation, data analysis tools, and programming (e.g., Python, LabVIEW) is an advantage. 
• Familiar with failure analysis, yield improvement, and quality tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA). 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
• Able to work in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
