Company Background
A leading semiconductor materials provider specializing in high-quality packaging materials, including solder spheres and solder paste, supporting advanced chip packaging and global semiconductor assembly operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyse process performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), process qualification and validation activities.
- Develop, review and update process parameters, work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process-related issues.
- Collaborate with Production, QA and EHS teams to resolve process abnormalities and improve manufacturing performance.
- Equipment Engineering- Manage production equipment installation, commissioning and qualification.
- Monitor equipment performance, uptime and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Analyse equipment downtime and implement improvement actions to reduce breakdowns.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance programmes.
- Support equipment troubleshooting, repair and process recovery activities.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Facility teams on equipment-related issues.
- Manage equipment spare parts and critical component inventory.
- Evaluate and implement equipment upgrades, modifications and automation projects.
- Yield & Continuous Improvement Monitor production yield and defect trends through data analysis.
- Lead Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and cost reduction initiatives.
- Drive cycle time reduction, productivity improvement and waste elimination projects.
- Conduct DOE (Design of Experiment) and process capability studies when required.
- Documentation & Audit Support Prepare and maintain engineering documents including SOPs, Work Instructions, Control Plans and Process FlowCharts.
- Maintain equipment maintenance records, qualification reports and engineering change documentation.
- Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and customer audits. P
- repare audit evidence, engineering reports and corrective action documentation.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with company quality and safety standards.
- Project Management
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree. Minimum 3 year PE/Equipment experience.
- Knowledge of 8D, Fishbone, Control Chart. ISO certification preferred.
- RBA knowledgeable is an advantage.
- Mandarin proficiency required to liaise with counterparts in Taiwan & China.
Salary Range: RM5.5k - RM7.5k
