Company Background:
Our client is a Malaysia-based manufacturing company and part of a global group specializing in advanced materials and power semiconductor technologies. Established to support the groups expansion in Southeast Asia, the company focuses on the production of power semiconductor components, electronic materials, and related high-precision solutions for the global semiconductor supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in on-site production and workshop operations, including machining and chemical cleaning processes, to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient manufacturing activities
- Supervise and manage local production operators to achieve daily production targets while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards
- Coordinate closely with engineering and technical teams to support process improvements, productivity enhancement, and operational optimization
- Monitor production schedules, work-in-progress (WIP), and output performance to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality requirements
- Support new workshop setup, equipment commissioning, and production ramp-up activities in collaboration with supervisors and management
- Manage and track production orders, inventory levels, and material supplies to maintain operational efficiency and minimize downtime
- Ensure accurate documentation of manufacturing records, production reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in accordance with company policies
- Prepare, analyze, and submit production reports, KPIs, and performance metrics for management review
- Enforce workplace safety, housekeeping (5S), and compliance with company and regulatory requirements
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment (silicone, chemical, or precision manufacturing experience is an advantage)
- Hands-on experience in workshop or factory floor operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate shopfloor operators
- Good understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety practices
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, work instructions, and SOPs
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and process improvement mindset
- Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Excel, reporting, data tracking systems)
Salary Range: Up to RM 8,000
