Job Description
- Manage import duty exemption applications, including LMW, CJ5, CJ5A, and MIDA Tax Incentives.
- Prepare and submit import documents (Invoice, Packing List, BL, COO, etc.) and monitor customs clearance to ensure timely arrival of raw materials.
- Handle export processes including COO applications, ePermit submission, export declarations, and shipment scheduling based on customer delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth import/export operations.
- Track shipment status and resolve customs or logistics issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate import/export documentation, HS Code records, and compliance files for internal and external audits.
- Prepare reports related to import/export activities for management and regulatory agencies (e.g., MITI, MIDA).
- Ensure full compliance with Malaysian customs regulations, LMW requirements, Free Trade Agreements, and other statutory obligations.
- Liaise with government authorities such as Royal Malaysian Customs, MITI, MAQIS, MIDA, and related agencies.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, including at least 3 years in manufacturing import/export operations.
- Experience in LMW or duty-exempted factory operations is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in import/export systems such as ePermit, DagangNet, eDeclare, and MIDA Portal.
- Strong knowledge of international trade documentation, HS Code classification, Incoterms, and COO applications.
- Familiar with procedures involving MITI, MIDA, MAQIS, and Malaysian customs requirements.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with internal departments and external parties.
- Proficient in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to communicate with Chinese suppliers and local authorities.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Professional certifications (Import/Export, MIEx) or experience with CJ5/CJ5A processes are added advantages.
- Experience with ISO documentation (e.g., ISO 9001) is preferred.
Salary Range: RM 3,500 - 8,000
